Welcome to the Divisions of Hematology-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation of the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego.

Our two divisions are closely interlinked programmatically and in our pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training.

Scott Lippman

Dr. Scott M. Lippman, director of the UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center, joined UC San Diego in May 2012 from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he was chief of Thoracic/Head and Neck Medical Oncology.

At UC San Diego, Dr. Lippman is Senior Associate Dean and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Cancer Research and Care and holds the Chugai Pharmaceutical Chair in Cancer.

His research focuses on studies of cancer risk, the development of molecularly-targeted drugs and personalized therapy.
