The new Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute building, named in recognition of a leadership gift from Lisa and Steve Altman, will establish a central facility that enables laboratory and clinical researchers to work side-by-side and share resources in their efforts to better understand and treat disease. Our
Clinical and Translational Research Institute is constantly seeking ways to speed discoveries from bench to bedside: this new facility will help speed those cures along even faster.
Slated to open in 2016, this new building will be located on UC San Diego’s medical campus in La Jolla alongside Jacobs Medical Center, Moores Cancer Center, Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center and Shiley Eye Institute. It will serve as a physical and metaphorical link between the university’s clinical and research enterprises.
Private investments in Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute accelerate our translational research, speeding new, more effective treatments from the laboratory benches to the patients’ bedsides.
To support Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute and the pioneering work that will take place in this new facility,
