Clinical Observership and Research Education Program
The CORE program is designed to assist prospective candidates to develop the skills and knowledge required to successfully navigate a career in clinical or translational research. The program enables scholars to be recognized as specialists in their field.
Accepted applicants will be appointed as J-1 exchange scholars, with their primary focus in research. CORE combines a carefully structured Master's Degree in Advanced Studies in Clinical Research along with a mentor-led research and clinical skills training. Scholars are acculturated to academic medicine in the U.S. while strengthening their foundations in research. The Master's Degree in Clinical Research equips professionals with a more complete understanding of epidemiology, biostatistics, patient-oriented research, health services/outcomes research, applied quantitative analysis, and professional development as well as scientific writing skills. The program is designed to equip you with the skills needed for a successful research career.
International graduates (i.e. from medical, dental and pharmacy backgrounds) who are interested in honing research skills for academic advancement.
Duration of Program
The typical pace of study in this program is 18 months.
