- Triton Innovation Fund
invests in UC San Diego affiliated innovations in the software,
communications, electronics, materials, medical devices and instruments
sectors. The Fund is externally managed by seasoned venture capitalist,
UC San Diego alumnus, and managing director at Sierra Ventures.
is a year-long accelerator program focused on supporting female
students and postdocs across UCSD interested in entrepreneurship and
starting innovative, scalable, technology-driven companies.. The
accelerator provides mentoring, co-working space, workshop, access to
funding for selected teams, and network of supporters and peers. For

- Tech Coast Angels
have two investment arms. Their Core Investment Arm invests seeks
companies that are for the most part generating revenue and looking for
$250K-$1M in funding. This group comprises 5 chapters in the Southern
California area and is one of the largest and second most active angel
investor groups in the US with 113 members. They accept 12-15 applications
each month. Four to five finalists are invited to pitch each month for
monthly screening. The entire process takes approximately 3 months.
Their Seed Investment Arm is comprised of approximately 20 investors
seeking to invest in early stage (pre-revenue) companies with strong
