The Ghosh Lab is busy identifying and characterizing novel interfaces within key signaling cascades which serve as “Signal-Amplification-Switches”. The primary function of these switches is “UNRESTRICTED AMPLIFICATION” of signaling cascades, rendering them capable of driving the efficiency of diverse cellular processes beyond physiologic needs (secretion, renewal & healing) and thereby, initiate and promote pathologic processes such as tumor growth, metastasis and fibrogenesis.
