Dr. Christopher "Kit" Tainter is faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine as well as the Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Critical Care. A graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine, he completed his Emergency Medicine residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where he also certified as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). He then served as the Assistant Residency Director and Medical Student Clerkship Director at the University of Oklahoma. He completed a fellowship in Anesthesia Critical Care Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He splits his time between the Emergency Department and Critical Care services at UCSD, and is the Fellowship Director for the
EM/ACCM Fellowship. In his free time, Kit is an avid volleyball player and self-proclaimed amateur zythologist. Publications
