Patient Care

Our division is an Academic Pediatric Center affiliated with the University of California San Diego.  In addition to providing expert clinical care to patients, we serve as a rich learning environment for current and future physicians to learn up-to-date clinical medicine, research, and advocacy for children and youth.  Our pediatricians teach UCSD students and residents in their clinics by modeling high quality patient care and mentoring them as they develop their clinical skills.  If a student or resident sees your child at an appointment, a supervising faculty pediatrician will always evaluate your child during the same appointment.  We believe that this collaborative approach is critical to achieve the quality and innovation we strive for in our medical care.

Our division is proud to offer the following clinical services:

UCSD Academic General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine

Our pediatricians and adolescent medicine practitioners provide expert and compassionate care for infants, children and teenagers. All of our pediatricians and adolescent medicine physicians are board certified.  In addition to primary care from birth to age 21 years, we provide specialty services including a Pediatric Travel Clinic, a Special Needs Clinic, and mental health services.
