We offer programs for weight loss, overeating, and emotional eating as part of our clinical research studies. Programs are available for children, adolescents, and adults.  See below to learn more!

Child Weight Management

iROC (Intervention for Regulation of Cues)

Does your child continue to snack or eat after a full meal? Are you concerned about your child's weight? If so, your child may qualify for the iROC research study for overweight children between 8 - 13 years of age. The purpose of iROC is to reduce overeating in overweight children through food cue exposure treatment. All families who participate will receive 12 weekly sessions for overeating and will complete measurements for 3 months after the program. Families will receive some compensation for their time and effort. ​ ​FAB (Family and Breakfast)
FAB logo.pngThe Family and Breakfast program is for children between the ages of 8-12 years old. The purpose of FAB is to evaluate the effectiveness of a behavioral weight loss program with a ​prescribed breakfast for overweight children and their family members.​ Families will receive some compensation for their time and effort.​​
​ ​G-MAP (Gut Microbiome Adiposity & Probiotics)​
GMAP logo.jpgThe Gut Microbiome Adiposity & Probiotics is a program for children and adolescents between the ages of 7-16. All families will be asked to participate in 12 weekly sessions in La Jolla, or City Heights. Families will receive some compensation for their time and effort.

TEAM UP (Transforming Eating, Activity, & Motivation Utilizing Parents

The Transforming Eating, Activity & Motivation Utilizing Parents​​​ study is a program for parents of overweight children between the ages of 5 and 13 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  This is a 16 week parent-only group program that focuses on weight-loss and healthy eating strategies for children with autism. Families will receive some compensation for their time and effort.  For more information, click here​.​

PACIFIC (Providing Adults Creative Inspiration for Ideal Choices)​​ ​

PACIFIC is a program for overweight adults between the ages of 18-65.  All ​​participants will be asked to ​participate in a 12 month program focused on improving eating habits and reducing binge eating and overeating.  The total duration of the study is 2 years. ​Participants will receive some compensation for their time and effort.
