The annual National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk/Run took place on April 29, 2017. The annual event aims to build awareness for the importance of those living with mental illness. The Psychiatry Department's team raised $2,295 and was organized by the Disability Subcommittee of the Chair's Advisory Committee on Diversity Issues, with team captains being Drs Lisa Eyler and Dawn Schiehser. T-shirts were designed by Savita Bhakta. The Department had a strong presence in the Exhibitor area, providing education and information about various clinical and research programs.
