ARE YOU A FEMALE SMOKER WHO WANTS TO QUIT?

The ideal candidates for this study are woman over the age of 18. You must be currently smoking and have a strong desire to quit. You must NOT be pregnant or nursing. Also, you must be in good overall health. Once you are eligible for the study, your participation will be up to 19 weeks, including an initial screening visit followed by 13 weeks of treatment with study medication. In addition there will be 3 follow up visits. There is no charge for any assessments, labs, study medication or treatment you receive at Pac-TARC. All information involving your participation is kept strictly confidential and we do compensate for time and travel.

Men and women 18 to 65 years old who have schizophrenia and abuse alcohol are invited to see if they may qualify for the Breakaway Study. The purpose of this clinical research study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication for those diagnosed with schizophrenia and alcohol use disorder.

Each individual will be evaluated to determine his or her eligibility. Those who qualify will receive the investigational medication, study-related medical exams, and laboratory tests at no cost. Compensated for time and travel is available.

DO YOU DRINK AND SMOKE TOO MUCH?

We are looking for men and women who are motivated to quit or cut down on their smoking and drinking. You may be eligible to participate in our 18-week research trial. This study involves taking a study drug or placebo and attending weekly 1 hour visits

POST TRAUMATIC STRESS? RECENTLY SOBER?

The INIA Stress study is designed to look at how an individual’s response to different types of stressors may affect craving for alcohol. The study uses two different laboratory procedures to measure changes in stress levels. Participants are monitored for up to an additional 6 months.
