Dr. Einck joined the UC San Diego team in 2009 after working in private practice in the San Diego area for the past seven years. During that time he developed an active practice in brachytherapy for prostate, breast and gynecologic malignancies.
After receiving his clinical training at the University of Washington, Dr. Einck served as an Attending Radiation Oncologist at both the University of Washington and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. He participated in the multidisciplinary breast cancer treatment program as well as the Sarcoma Clinic. While at the University of Washington he also trained in and obtained extensive experience in the technique of prostate brachytherapy.
While treating a wide variety of cancer over the past several years, he has continued to modify his prostate brachytherapy technique to improve prostate coverage and further lower dose to normal tissues. He was also involved in starting a practice in high dose rate brachytherapy for both breast and gynecologic malignancies and plans to continue these treatment approaches at UC San Diego.
