Visitors from Thailand

It is not surprising that UCSD Trauma Center frequently gets international attention especially in the area of trauma care. With our roots in medical education and research, we have been maintaining our reputation responding to trauma victims for almost 25 years. We are a world-renowned Level I Trauma Center since 1984.

Recently we were notified by the American College of Surgeons, Committee of Trauma that half of the globe away, a trauma team from Bhumibol Adjlyadej Hospital located in Bangkok, Thailand had made a special request to arrange a visit to tour the organized trauma system in the U.S. and they specifically chose our trauma center as a place to start.
