Philip C. Bosch, M.D.,
Clinicial Instructor

Dr. Philip C. Bosch is a urologist who specializes in the care of patients with interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome. IC/BPS is a chronic urinary bladder disease characterized by increased urinary frequency, urgency, and/or pelvic pain. There are no cures for this disorder, although there are a number of therapies that can relieve symptoms. At his Interstitial Cystitis clinic at the Department of Urology's Hillcrest location, Dr. Bosch diagnoses patients with IC/BPS and offers the latest treatments to relieve symptoms and prevent disease progression. Dr. Bosch is Principal Investigator in several research studies to understand the cause of IC/BPS and find effective new treatments to improve the quality of life for IC/BPS sufferers. Yahir A. Santiago-Lastra, M.D., Clinicial Assistant Professor

Dr. Yahir A. Santiago-Lastra specializes in pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery in both women and men. She diagnoses and treats many pelvic floor disorders, including incontinence, organ prolapse, and ureteral stricture. In addition, she cares for patients with urogenital conditions caused by neurological disorders, and has a special interest in assisting patients with congenital urological conditions in their transition from pediatric to adult treatment. Of the relationship she develops with her patients, Dr. Santiago-Lastra said, "I get to really exercise the humanistic side of medicine, along with the technical side, and that is incredibly rewarding."
