Family Accommodation Information

Academic Affairs requested these two documents be posted for the Faculty regarding Family Accommodation. These two documents summarize the Health Sciences Family Accommodation Policies as well as providing information about the guidelines for Active Service-Modified Duties (ASMD) for UC San Diego Health Sciences that complement the campus Family Accommodations Policy as detailed in the UC San Diego Policy and Procedure Manual (APM 760 and PPM 230-10).

How to Volunteer for Committee Service

Effective June 1, 2009, the Health Sciences Faculty Council collected information about the various ways faculty can volunteer for committee service. This information is collected at the link below.

Indirect Cost Recovery (IDCR)

Indirect Cost Recovery (IDCR) is vital to the finances of the Health Sciences. In the year 04-05 approximately $1M additional funding was distributed to Departments of the School of Medicine. The Health Sciences Planning and Budget Committee recommended that the Dean's Office make available to the Faculty the distributions of IDCR from the year 04-05. In this way, HSFC and Faculty generally can be better informed about utilization of some of the resources they help generate. The following link describes the formulas used to distribute IDCR and the FY04/05 distribution to the SOM Departments.
